RAINFALL AND TEMPERATURES IN LAST 10 DAYS OF NOVEMBER

 

The rainfall forecast for the period 21st to 30th November indicates a likelihood of wet conditions to persist over the most regions in the country. However, much wetter conditions are expected to occur in areas around and adjacent to Lake Victoria, Central and Western region of the country, spanning from Southwestern sub region and connecting to West Nile, this is according to the Dekadal (10-day forecast) produced by UNMA for the last 10 days of the Month. Exceptional rainfall amounts are forecasted in areas within and surrounding Lake Victoria, Southwestern sub region, and parts of Kyoga basin extending to West Nile sub region.

Temperatures: Warmer conditions are expected to dominate over the northern region of the country, particularly in West Nile, Acholi, and Lango sub regions as compared to the rest of the country. The highest maximum temperatures are forecasted to range between 260C to 320C.

The lowest minimum temperature forecast indicates that a range within 80C to 100C, is expected to prevail over areas in the highlands of Rwenzori and Elgon. Other regions forecasted to experience low temperatures in the range of 140C to 160C include; the southwestern and central regions. The rest of the country shows a high likelihood to experience minimum temperatures from 160C to 200C.
