Weather Forecasting Services Directorate

The directorate is responsible for collection and distribution of real-time weather information from all outstations in the field as well as producing daily public and aviation forecasts.
Below are it's divisions.

National Meteorological Centre (NMC)

NMC focuses on Weather Forecasting, Data collection and exchange, Ground Satellite Receiving Station and Upper Air observations.

Aeronautical Meteorological Services

The Department provides meteorological services for domestic and international air navigation to ensure the safety, regularity and efficiency of air travel.

Weather Modeling and Verification Services

The primary objective is to coordinate weather modeling and verification with a view to enhance the capacity of the UNMA to generate and evaluate weather outlook by providing more detailed operational forecasts

Technical Services Division

The Technical services Division plays a very important role since it is charged with the duty of installation and maintenance of an adequate meteorological infrastructure for monitoring weather conditions
