This bulletin has both rainfall and extreme temperature forecasts including mean temperature for the last ten
days of October. More significant rains are still expected across the entire country with the exception of north eastern, where
relaxation of rainfall activity is projected to occur. This is also expected to affect some of the districts in
northern part of the country bordering Karamoja subregion.

The rainfall forecast for this period shows a reduction of rainfall activity in Karamoja sub region and all areas bordering it, as well as those areas in the southern cattle corridor. In contrast, areas within mountain Elgon, those areas flanking Lake Albert on its eastern and southern parts, portions of West Nile subregion, Busoga subregions are expected to experience significant rainfall activity.

The rainfall forecast for the period from 21st to 30th June 2018 indicates that substantive rainfall activity is expected to prevail over most areas in Karamoja and Mt Elgon sub-regions, low lying districts in Eastern Uganda, and a stretch from Kisoro district linking up to Lake Albert.

In contrast, areas in the Southern cattle corridor, those flanking Lake Victoria and those within the Lake Kyoga basin are expected to experience a reduction in rainfall activity.

The rainfall forecast for the period from 11th to 20th May, 2018 indicates that rainfall activity is expected to relax in the Country over the stretch from Western Lake Victoria , spanning through its Northern parts into Eastern region in Busoga and Teso up to some areas in Karamoja sub-region with the exception of Elgon sub-region and its outlying areas. The reduction in rainfall activity is also expected to affect parts of Lango and Northeastern part of Lake Albert.

The areas anticipated to experience enhanced rains are Rwenzori sub-region, Southwestern and the extreme Northerly part of the Country covering West Nile, Acholi and Karamoja advancing to the border with South Sudan.

The rainfall forecast for the period from 3rd to 10th April 2018 indicates that the sector of the country as we advance southwards right from the stretch at north east of Lake Albert, drifting off to the south of Lake Kyoga and linking to mountain Elgon sub region is expected to receive enhanced rains. This is likely to affect most areas in western, south western, Rwenzori sub-region and adjacent areas north of Lake Victoria.
